Pahar Foundation Nepal (PFN) is an Australian registered charity (ABN 88653157058) with endorsement as a deductible gift recipient (DGR). It was formed in 2022. Its primary role is to raise funds to support the works of the Pahar Trust Nepal (PTN). The PTN is a UK & IOM registered charity (pahar-trust.org) that has, for over 30 years, been building and renovating schools, mainly in the mid-western Himalayan foothills and the far-east of Nepal.
Our aim is to fund the building of safe, durable schools that provide students with an encouraging environment in which to learn. In addition to school construction projects the PTN also undertakes a variety of other projects including the construction of community health posts, libraries, early education centres, water supply and sanitation projects, provision of sports facilities, school hostels, school extension work, and renovation and repair works.
The PFN works very closely with the PTN HQ in the UK and with their team in Pokhara Nepal. Its mission and objectives clearly and purposely reflect those of the PTN.
OUR MISSION: WE TAKE POVERTY AWAY FROM CHILDREN THROUGH EDUCATION

In 2013 Malcolm Peck travelled to Nepal for the first time under the auspices of the PTN, to meet a friend and trustee of the PTN to see the great work PTN was undertaking in the country. He fell in love with the people, the country and the PTN and so his journey to support the efforts of the PTN by raising funds, began.
Fund raising has continued since 2013, and regular visits to Nepal have strengthened the resolve of volunteers to raise funds needed. In 2022 Malcolm (along with two friends Tony Williams and Simon Rand), established the Pahar Foundation Nepal (PFN) an Australian registered charity.
