OUR IMPACT

Our work to improve the lives of the people of Nepal is made possible by the amazing support that we receive from our donors & funders. We do not receive any direct government funding & rely on the generosity of our supporters. The parents of children living in villages in the hillside of the Himalaya recognise the enormous benefits that education can mean to their children’s future.   They are generally poor and therefore have limited abilities to help their children reach their full potential.

 

Raising funds to support the PTN in building schools, health centres, sanitation facilities and the like plus training teachers is crucial to enable the works to be carried out.  Since 2013 donors in Australia have regularly and generously provided funds to support the provision of libraries, Early Childhood Development classrooms; renovation of school building and classrooms, land stabilisation along with employing librarians and enabling children to study at year 11 & 12.

 

Visiting the schools that were funded shows clearly how children have benefited through the provision of these works.  Bright well-lit classrooms makes learning so much easier and enjoyable.
